Most thru-hikers dropped full zippers years ago. A 20° cottage quilt is what people actually sleep in: light, warm, and built for nightly use. If you want a hood and a zipper, that list is Sleeping Bags.
Enlightened Equipment Enigma is first — closed foot, the most-carried quilt in the 2025 PCT survey. Revelation is Best Value: open foot, a little lighter, a little less expensive. Katabatic Flex is Highest Rated — hikers who buy it tend to keep it. Pair any of them with a pad from the pad ranking. A quilt without an insulated pad is a cold night.

Same maker as Enigma with a little more venting flexibility and often a touch less weight/cost on card. Best when you want EE popularity without a sewn footbox.
